Adobe Flash- Basic Animation

In this tutorial, I’m going to teach one of the basic frame by frame animation using adobe flash
  • ·         Open Adobe flash and select action script 2.0
  • ·         Activate onion skin by clicking its icon
  • ·         Select your text tool or simply press (T) for shortcut.
  • ·         Select the stage
  • ·         Write your name on it or any name you prefer.
  • ·         Select all the letters (name) that you created
  • ·         Click modify which is found in your menu bar
  • ·         Select break apart twice or CTRL+B for shortcut.

The reason why we break apart the name that we entered in the stage is for us to be able to move or manipulate the letters.
  • ·         Select the eraser tool (E) then we begin using our timeline in making our animation.
  • ·         Right click on our 2nd playhead and select insert keyframe or (F6)
  • You should be able to have the same name in the same location found in the stage.
  • ·         Erase part of the letter

Like this:

  • ·         Right click on our 3rd playhead and select insert keyframe or (F6)
  • ·         Erase part of the letter
  • ·         Do the same for the next playhead from 4th until 10th playhead keyframe the first letter in your name should be totally erased with the eraser tool that we used.
  • ·         As you notice I used 10 playhead with 10 key frames to erase one whole letter.

Like this:
  • ·        From your 11th  playhead to your 20th you should do the same erase the next letter little by little until it reach to the 20th playhead for the letter to be totally erased.
  • ·         Finish the rest of the remaining letters following the same steps you did with the previous letters
  • ·         Evaluate your progress with (CTRL+Enter)
